On Thursday 7th August, Legacy in the Community, in partnership with Business Wales, hosted our Wellbeing & Employment Fair at St Peter’s Civic Hall, and what a fantastic day it was!

The hall was buzzing with energy as around 100 members of the public came through the doors to explore opportunities, discover new services, and connect with organisations from across the region. From local employers and training providers to wellbeing services and community groups, the event offered something for everyone.

Our aim was simple, to bring together organisations that could offer practical pathways into work, volunteering, and training, alongside resources to support mental and physical wellbeing. It was wonderful to see those conversations happening, CVs being shared, and ideas forming for future collaboration.

Feedback from both attendees and exhibitors has been incredibly positive. Many spoke about how valuable it was to meet face-to-face, ask questions directly, and discover opportunities they hadn’t known existed. The mix of employment and wellbeing support really resonated, showing just how important it is to look at the whole picture when helping people move forward.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, from the organisations who brought their expertise, to the public who joined us with curiosity and enthusiasm. Events like this are only possible thanks to the commitment of our partners, and we’re especially grateful to Business Wales for working alongside us to make it happen.

At Legacy in the Community, we’re passionate about building communities where everyone can thrive. The Carmarthen Wellbeing & Employment Fair was a brilliant example of what can happen when we work together towards that goal.

Keep an eye on our website and social media for news of future events, we’d love to see you there!
